Adex Personnel is seeking a Mission Manager to join one of our partners, a multidisciplinary consulting firm based in Laval, offering a comprehensive range of services in management, strategy, and business development.

Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Mission Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the implementation of various projects within the company. They provide strategic support to clients in different dimensions of their activities, including management, planning, and development. Additionally, they play a crucial role in resource management, budget planning, and project performance tracking.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure ongoing client file monitoring throughout the year and ensure compliance with imposed deadlines.

• Participate in the planning and execution of year-end missions for clients, including compilation and review of financial statements.

• Analyze discrepancies in financial statements and provide explanations in the year-end file, if necessary.

• Prepare income tax returns for individuals and corporations.

• Develop sales tax reports for clients.

• Prepare dividend tracking sheets.

• Assist file managers with government requests during tax and tax audits.

• Provide support to cabinet technicians and client accounting managers.

• Identify and recommend improvement opportunities to enhance the efficiency of clients' year-end files.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer internally by participating in ongoing training in the field.

• Perform any other related tasks as necessary within their role.

Requirements:

• Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting and/or a DESS in professional accounting;

• Hold the CPA professional designation (asset).

• Have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience related to the position (ideally in a firm).

  • Possess 2 years of experience in compilation engagements/review engagements.

 

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word);

• Familiarity with Caseware software (significant asset);

• Proficiency in Taxprep software for individuals and corporations;

• Proficiency in Taxprep software for trusts (asset);

• Knowledge of common accounting software such as Sage 50 or Acomba (asset);

• Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written (asset).

Special Requirements:

• Availability to work overtime beyond the normal workweek, especially from January to April;
