Adex Personnel is seeking a Database Administrator to join its team. This is a 12-month mandate with the possibility of renewal. The position is based in one of the following cities: Montreal, Quebec, Laval, Sherbrooke, or Shawinigan.
As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing databases in a complex and evolving development environment. You will play a key role in modernizing information technologies, taking charge of data architecture aspects, and participating in various activities from integration strategy to production simulation.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure the responsibilities of a database administrator in a complex and evolving development environment.
- Manage the installation, maintenance, and evolution of products within development environments.
- Collaborate on the automation of database administration tasks in a DevOps context.
- Contribute to solving performance problems in production and development environments.
- Gain a deep understanding of the conceptual model of the relevant domain.
- Analyze data access needs through systemic analyses.
- Keep identified deliverables up-to-date in the architecture phase.
- Be involved in optimizing databases and data environments.
- Contribute to work related to testing or the deployment of new specialized software products related to the SGDB.
- Produce or revise various deliverables, such as operational sources in development environments, optimized production environments, load analyses, documented optimization choices, and analyses of experimentation and proof of concept.
- Develop documents, including test documents, conversion strategy, integration and test strategies, production deployment strategy, production simulation results, and documented recommendations for reviewing technological components.
Requirements:
- Have a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Accumulate 6 years of experience in the field of information technology as a DBA on databases, with at least 4 years in a similar technological environment in the public sector.
- Have 2 years of experience in database and data technology environments architecture.
- Accumulate at least 3 years of experience in concepts related to data modeling, whether in relational databases or data warehouses.
- Justify four years of experience in configuring databases and data environments to support a high level of service while ensuring a high level of data security and confidentiality.
- Participate as a DBA in two projects of 5,000 person-days or more in an environment comparable to that of the employer, with a focus on software component choices, especially SGDB component choices for large-scale environments.
- Have experience with UNIX/AIX or Windows operating systems.
- Master the Oracle database market.
- Have recent significant experience in using the Agile methodology.
- Use a data modeling tool such as Silverrun, Oracle Designer, System Architect, or equivalent.
- Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Write analysis reports with ease.
- Have a good level of English for communication with English-speaking clients and suppliers.
