Infrastructure Advisor- cloud computing Specialist

 Adex Personnel is looking for a Senior Technology Infrastructure Advisor specialized in cloud computing (M/F) on behalf of one of its partners, a recognized leader in technological transformation.

 In this position, you will be working on a client project within the public service sector that is spread over a period of twelve (12) months, in Quebec City or Montreal. 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed configurations and technology architectures.
  • Define cloud computing architectures (Cloud Based or Cloud Native) that are operationalizable, efficient, resilient, and secure, according to established prerequisites and governance rules in force.
  • Evaluate on-premises technology infrastructures and define a migration plan to one or more cloud providers.
  • Evaluate cloud infrastructures, then define a modernization and/or rationalization plan or identify existing or future risks.
  • Write technical documents related to architecture or cloud computing.
  • Ensure the security of cloud deployments at the infrastructure, systems, and data level in collaboration with the security team.
  • Perform proofs of concepts (PoCs).
  • Contribute to the detailed planning of technology projects.
  • Develop test sets and conduct them involving designated resources.
  • Document the results of technology testing.
  • Define the specifications of the hardware and software required to support the employer's infrastructure.
  • Install software and technology hardware primarily in the laboratory.
  • Participate in the implementation of the cloud environment as described in the target architecture.
  • Produce operating documentation.
  • Support the employer's troussing team.
  • Document user impacts as well as solutions to known problems.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer and provide training to designated resources. 

Requirements:

  • Cumulate a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the field of information technology.
  • Cumulate a minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a technology infrastructure consultant including two (2) years in the design, execution, and support of cloud solutions.
  • Cumulate a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in similar tasks as well as in similar environments.
  • Have completed two mandates of more than 100 person-days with the following tools:
    • Cloud Infrastructure
    • Networking
    • Windows 11
    • Windows Server 2012+
    • SAN Storage
    • Oracle or SQL Server database management system
