Adex Personnel is looking for a Technology Architecture Advisor (M/F) on behalf of one of its partners, a recognized leader in technological transformation.
In this position, you will be working on a client project within the health sector over a period of eight (8) months, in the city of Montreal.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert support in UCCX, CUCM, Jabber, Finesse and Unity, both wired and wireless technologies.
- Document the current architecture and propose corrections if necessary.
- Ensure knowledge transfer for resources through targeted training.
- Provide training as an expert trainer on existing technologies and systems.
- Play the role of expert during operational escalation with Cisco telephony OEMs.
- Diagnose and resolve Cisco telephony system problems in the field as well as on infrastructure.
- Effectively evaluate information to make decisions.
- Anticipate obstacles and develop plans to resolve them.
- Develop decision-making strategies and operational plans.
- Create processes that take practices into account.
- Develop a strong partnership to help shape future initiatives.
- Regularly monitor trends and best practices and recommend actionable improvements in line with the overall IT infrastructure strategy.
- Contribute to the drafting of technical specifications to complete requests for notices of interest and calls for tenders.
- Translate functional needs into technical requirements and design the architecture of the technological solution including impacts on the current infrastructure for projects or service requests.
- Develop transition plans between current and target architectures and recommend the implementation of resulting projects.
- Identify the necessary changes and affected components (hardware, software, or technology platform).
- Simplify and communicate complex technical solutions and adapt disclosed content to a diverse audience including managers and healthcare professionals.
- Facilitate discussion groups and make oracle presentations.
Requirements:
- 1st cycle university degree in computer science (or a related discipline) or a college diploma (DEC) in computer technology with a minimum of twenty (20) years of experience in computer science.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in the field of computer technologies including a minimum of ten (10) years of expertise in the IT architecture and telephony sector.
- Fluency in written and oral French and English (Contact with English-speaking customers, suppliers, and colleagues).
- TOGAF or VMware certification is an asset.
- Ability to collect and synthesize IT needs, write technical level documents as part of mandates with computer content.
- Up-to-date knowledge of IT architecture trends and new technologies available in the IT market and multi-platform knowledge to contribute to the definition of a long-term technology strategy.
- Experience in reviewing, improving, and optimizing IT infrastructure operating processes.
- Experience in cost-benefit modeling to develop compelling business proposals.
- Operational knowledge of the IT infrastructure operating sector.
- Experience with the following technologies:
- Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and ITaaS or SDDC)
- Virtualization Technologies (VMware)
- Publishing applications (Microsoft, Citrix)
- Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, IIS, .NET, and collaboration tools)

- Firewall (Palo Alto)
