Adex Personnel is looking for a computer technician (Service Center and Local Service profile) (M/F) on behalf of one of its partners, a recognized leader in technological transformation.
In this position, you will be working on a client project within the health sector over a period of (1) one year with the possibility of extension, in the city of Laval.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory infrastructure and applications across regions and update the C2-Atom CMDB.
- Support calls, document them in the management tool and follow up (identification of problems, solutions, etc.) according to the standards established by the DRI Service Centre.
- Respond to requests for services of varying complexity by performing procedures, investigating, diagnosing, and resolving common problems and providing advanced technical advice and temporary solutions.
- Prioritize and escalate when solutions do not progress.
- Monitor the progress of the resolution of requests, inform the persons concerned of the progress of their request by effectively communicating the diagnosis of problems and solutions in addition to updating information related to the interventions carried out.
- Monitor and analyze service requests to detect common trends and issues, match unresolved incidents with existing issues, prioritize, and escalate when solutions are not progressing.
- Recommend measures to improve the quality of services offered.
- Comply with the required rules of communication and ethics in force at the DRI Regional Service Centre.
- Work with specialized technicians to provide support during server preparations and other activities.
- Participate in the development of data center consolidation activities.
- Travel between the employer's various sites.
- Perform all other duties requested by the immediate supervisor within agreed parameters.
Requirements:
- Hold a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) with a specialization in computer science.
- Accumulate a minimum of three (3) years of expertise as a computer technician.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the following systems:
- Servers: Internal components of servers, Operating systems (Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris).
- SAN disk drive: SAN, NAS, Fiber Channel switch
- Backup: Library, Backup software (NetWorker, TSM, DataProtector)
- Hypervisor: VMware, Solaris, Linux, Windows
- Monitoring: Zabbix
- Technical experience in complex environments and high availability.
- Possess advanced technical knowledge to present innovative solutions and make advanced diagnoses.
- Relevant experience in installing, configuring, and supporting user environments such as Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory (DNS, GPO), print servers, endpoint management (TS), Citrix, antivirus, WSUS, SCCM, Outlook email and Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience and commitment to include security management in terms of availability, integrity, and confidentiality in all his/her achievements.
- Relevant experience in the installation and support of computer equipment such as workstations, laptops, tablets, printers, etc.
- Experience in IT support with users.
