IT Technician (M/F)

Adex Personnel is looking for an IT Technician (M/F) on behalf of one of its partners, a recognized leader in technological transformation.

 In this position, you will be working on a client project within the education sector over a period of six (6) months, in the city of Pocatière. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform activities related to the monitoring and operation of operating systems, networks, and servers for which it is responsible and resolve problems that arise.
  • Apply data security and backup procedures, create, modify, or destroy user accounts and assign access rights.
  • Provide technical support to users.
  • Be called upon to receive and process service requests. Install, configure, and update software.
  • Test new software, assess compatibility, and ensure appropriate patching.
  • Perform minor repairs and participate in software and device choices.
  • Participate in the analysis, design, and development of systems.
  • Maintain an inventory and location system for computer equipment.
  • Contribute to the proper functioning of generic services (file servers, SAN servers, cloud computing, printing, backup, telephone system, anti-virus management, etc.)  

Requirements: 

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Office Suite software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and MS Project (asset).
  • Knowledge of Citrix products and environments is an important asset.
  • Experience with the ITIL framework is an asset.
  • Holding one of the following certifications is an asset: CCA, MCSA, MCP, AWS, Azure.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of mobility equipment (tablets and iPads).
  • Knowledge of a request management tool (Octopus is an asset).
  • Demonstrate fluency in oral and written communication in French and English (an important asset since contact with English-speaking clients and suppliers).
  • Be available outside regular hours.
