Adex Personnel is looking for an IT Technician (M/F) to join one of its business partners, a World Leader in Microelectronics.

In this position, you will be involved in IT support at Bromont site.

Responsibilities: 

  • Site Support - This position will be responsible for IT support for the Bromont site. The technician will be responsible for providing customer support, responding to help desk requests, resolving incidents, responding to computer requests (tickets), escalating unresolved requests and following up on ticket resolution;
  • Customer Service - This position will be responsible for interfacing with employees who are experiencing IT issues. This will be done in person, over the phone, through the computer ticketing system or through remote support via Microsoft Teams ;
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution - This position will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving all IT tickets (incidents and requests) sent from the IT Help Desk. The tickets will cover all areas of IT, such as issues surrounding PCs, printers, cell phones, system access, IP telephony, applications, data, servers, network, security, virus scanning, etc.
  • Project Assignment - This position will periodically be assigned projects in conjunction with primary support responsibilities including computer upgrade deployment, application implementation support, facility moves, etc.
  • Perform deployment, manage and maintain all systems and their software;
  • Ensure and maintain the company's data security and access management, manage authentication and security of users on the network;
  • Analyze needs, make recommendations and implement them;
  • Document procedures related to the systems and ensure knowledge transfer, respect procedures and change management processes during implementation or modifications to the systems;
  • Support security tightening initiatives issued by the IT Security team
  • Provide training 

Requirements: 

  • Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) or an Attestation of Collegial Studies (ACS) in the field of computer science.
  • Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) or DEP in computer science;
  • 3 years experience in a similar role;
  • This position is for an experienced IT support person or a recent graduate with a good knowledge of IT, particularly Microsoft OS applications;
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work unsupervised for the majority of the time;
  • Structured, methodical, dynamic, autonomous and innovative;
  • Ability to manage emergencies, priorities and work under pressure;
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities ;
  • Proficiency in Windows Server 2016 to 2019 systems;
  • Knowledge of security system and software, backup and replication system ;
  • PowerShell Scripting;
  • IP Telephony (Cisco);
  • At least one year of experience as a computer technician in a Windows environment ;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on large projects while maintaining daily responsibilities;
  • Available to work on vacations and after hours
  • Very good command of English and be available to do 24/7 support (on rotation) and overtime as needed.
