Adex Personnel is looking for a Web Programmer (M/F) to join one of its partners, a web agency that offers web design, web marketing and web hosting services in the city of Montreal.

In this position, the Web Programmer works closely with the Project Managers and Account Managers to analyze and implement Web applications according to the needs and requirements of the clients. He/she supports the integrators in the advanced modules of the internet and extranet sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and build web applications according to specifications
  • Types of applications:
  • Public sites
  • Content management systems (CMS)
  • Intranet / Extranet
  • Online stores and transactional systems
  • Perform database modeling (SQL Server)
  • Analyze the needs and modules of the application
  • Evaluate and forecast the stability and future development of the application
  • Ensure the security of the programmed modules
  • Ensure the quality of its own code (function, organization, validation...) and participate in code reviews (we like Clean Code!)
  • Perform maintenance on existing sites

Requirements:

  • College or university degree in computer science or equivalent
  • About 4 years of relevant experience.

Technical skills

  • Experience in developing Web applications (ColdFusion, or PHP, or .NET, or Java)
  • Analytical and debugging skills
  • Experience with APIs (use and creation)
  • Good knowledge of JavaScript (vanilla, ES6 is a plus)
  • Mastery of git, knowledge of git flow
