PLC programmer/electrical Technician (M/F)

Adex Personnel is looking for a PLC programmer/electrical technician for one of its partners, a large manufacturer of pneumatic & hydraulic actuators and electrical control packages,
Your main role will be to provide technical support to internal teams and clients.

Responsibilities:
- design, assembly, wiring, and testing of electrical control systems:
- design of electrical control systems and panels; selection of components, schematics, and layout drawings
- assemble, install, and wire electrical control panels
- program PLC and HMI as required by the application or product
- test/proof/troubleshoot electrical control panels • redaction of product operating manuals when required
- testing of pneumatic and hydraulic control systems:
- install, pipe, and electrically connect the control components onto the actuator
- test pneumatic and hydraulic actuators with accessories (solenoid directional valves, fluid filtration components, electrical feedback components, etc.)
- document all product testing (fill out test reports, redact special test requirements if required, etc.)
- redaction of product operating manuals when required
- product development (R&D):
- aid the engineering and R&D teams in product design, testing/proofing, and documentation
- prepare test procedures and test circuits for the products to be tested
- implement test circuits, acquire test data, analyze results, and redact associated test reports
- participate in continuous current and future product improvements
- travel to customer sites for technical service and/or commissioning as required
- offer internal technical support for the company’s IT infrastructure (hardware and software troubleshooting and installation)
- quotation assistance: component research, sourcing and pricing, preliminary designs, approval drawings
- project supervision: supervise special projects
- quality control: assist in the preparation of appropriate quality control documentation
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years minimum of pertinent experience
- be comfortable in a small to medium enterprise work environment in which team spirit is the key to success
- available to travel for site service and commissioning, both locally and internationally
- good knowledge of electrical systems (electrical circuits and components, control panels, assembly, wiring and testing)
- good knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and their associated control elements
- strong ability to troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical circuits and components
- proficient at reading and understanding pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics
- proficient in programming PLCs and HMIs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron, Schneider) and redaction of associated documentation (user manual, ladder logic, etc.)
- proficient in the design and assembly of testing control systems (for in-house product testing)
- proficient in redacting test procedures, acquiring test data and creation of test reports
- experience in the use of Microsoft Office 365 (including Microsoft VISIO)
- bilingual, French, and English, written and spoken
- post-secondary education in engineering, automation, or related field, from an accredited institution
